My job board

Every combat job in FFXIV belongs to a role: tank, healer, melee DPS, physical ranged DPS or magical ranged DPS. You switch jobs by equipping the job's weapon and soul crystal, usually through a gear set, and Actions & Traits in the main menu lists what the current job can use.

A light party of four takes one tank, one healer and two DPS; a full party of eight takes two tanks, two healers and four DPS. The game itself does not rank jobs against each other.
