FFXIV submersibles and airships: build a vessel, plan its sectors and read the voyage time

A free company's submersibles and airships explore sectors while you play. The company voyage planner builds a vessel from its parts, checks the build against its rank, capacity and range, and works out the distance, tanks and time of the route you choose.
Where are voyages dispatched in the game?
Use the voyage control panel in your free company's Company Workshop. Select a registered vessel, equip its parts and choose the sectors to explore before dispatch. Sector discovery and the vessel's current availability still apply in the game; the planner does not read them.
What do the four parts decide?
A vessel takes a hull, a stern, a bow and a bridge. Each part adds surveillance, retrieval, speed, range and favor, and costs components. The vessel's rank sets how many components it can carry and adds its own bonuses; a part above the vessel's rank cannot be used. The planner totals the stats with the rank bonus and says when the build exceeds its capacity.
How is the route measured?
Each sector has a rank requirement, a tank cost and a survey distance. The route's distance adds the distance between stops to each sector's survey distance, and it must stay within the build's range. The tanks are the sum of the sectors' costs. Voyage time adds the travel between stops and the survey at each sector, both shortened by speed, to a fixed base time. For airships the time follows a fitted formula and is shown as an estimate.
Worked example
A rank 1 submersible with the four Shark-class parts, starting from the Shark-class Pressure Hull, totals 70 range and uses all 20 of its components. Sent to the Ivory Shoals alone, it covers 16 of 70 distance for one Ceruleum Tank, returns after 15 hours 4 minutes and 10 seconds and earns 10,610 experience. The sector's recorded finds include Wind Crystals; a recorded find is a possibility, not a promise.
