FFXIV Island Sanctuary: plan a workshop day, its materials and the animals to catch

Each day on your island, the workshops turn materials into handicrafts that sell for cowries. The Island Sanctuary planner builds a 24-hour schedule for your rank, works out what it earns and what it uses, and shows when each animal can be caught.

Where is the schedule set in the game?

On your island, speak with the tactful taskmaster and open Isleworks Agenda to assign handicrafts and two rest cycles for the season. The pasture keeps captured animals and their leavings; capture opportunities can depend on Eorzea time and weather.

How does a day earn its cowries?

A handicraft's value grows with workshop level, the popularity of the item that week and how much supply is left. A craft that follows another sharing one of its themes is efficient: it earns double and adds one groove, and groove raises every later craft up to the rank's limit. The planner takes popularity and supply as values you choose, since the current week is not read from the game, and fills the day with the order that earns most.

How many workshops can I run?

Two workshops open from island rank 3, three from rank 5 and four from rank 15. Every workshop follows the same schedule, so a second one roughly doubles the day's earnings. The planner also adds up the materials the whole day consumes.

Worked example

At island rank 3 with one workshop at workshop rank 1, no landmarks, enough supply and popularity pattern 0, alternating Isleworks Potion and Isleworks Firesand across six 4-hour slots earns 342 Seafarer's Cowries and builds groove 5; with two workshops the same day earns 704. The lemur can be caught from 06:00 to 09:00 Eorzea time and leaves Sanctuary Fur at the pasture.
